The U.S. Mindset

     Every few days, I am forcefully reminded of how shallow-minded and riddled with whataboutisms the general psyche of the United States is.  Currently, I am being reminded of this as the world mourns for and rallies behind the citizens of Cuba.  Individuals within this "great land of opportunity" are politicizing a tragedy as it unfolds before our eyes due to their political ideals surrounding Donald J. Trump.  Many are refusing to learn of what Cuban residents are enduring due to a high percentage of Cuban AMERICANS supporting Trump in the country's last presidential election.  Others are stating that they cannot stand with Cuba due to the treatment of the black diaspora WITHIN the UNITED STATES.  Yes, you read ALL of that correctly.

     Residents of the United States proclaim that they are the best country and that they LOVE women, children and FREEDOM are refusing to even garner sympathy for those under a dictatorship.  CHILDREN are being forcibly removed from homes and made to join a military faction as babies and mothers are starving.  There is no contact with the outside world for those outside of the top 1%...AKA...the ruling sanction.  Yet, the good old freedom selling, bootstrap "patriots" of the "good ol U.S.of A." are more concerned with how immigrants from Cuba vote while living in the U.S.  Read that again.

     It is the same pro-life banter spewing mouth breathers that now contend that they are experts in all things Cuban that are fervently fueling the fires of hate towards people within a crisis of humanity.  I wish this was satire.  I wish this was a horrid dream.  It is not.  It is the twilight zone adjacent reality of living within the confines of the United States, the land of idiotic mentalities.  

     How can a collection of morons truly believe that they are superior to the world while lacking basic empathy?   it is truly safe to say that the U.S. is brimming with Karens, Richards, Chads, and Beckies when it needs to grow up and finally become Uncle Sam.  Recalling the torrid history of this adolescent nation, I highly doubt that maturity is around the bend.
