Why Do You Always Fall for Colonizing Cries?
Last night, I sat and watched as an unapologetic racist colonizer delivered an obvious fauxpology that was sopped up and accepted by a minute number of BIPOC individuals. It was extremely troubling to me that people that were NOT at the core of who he targeted with his hate, disdain, and sheer ignorance were so quick to validate his Oscar adjacent performative fauxpology. Today, I am still left thinking why is it so easy for the pain and disrespect of black women to be so quickly overlooked and the guilty colonizer is always so easily and readily forgiven. If this individual would have made disparaging comments about black men or an Indigenous woman or an Asian woman...you get where I am going here... this gay white man would NOT have been so readily forgiven and his comments would not be placed on the shoulders of a woman of color.
Yes, that is correct, he is being forgiven as a woman of color is being vilified. This fully grown man is utilizing his privilege so that he can escape accountability and pretend that the big bad woman of color is to blame for his thoughts...his actions...his life views. he chose to say vile things regarding black women and because he has TWO that choose to allow him to hide beneath their bosom, he is ok with pretending to be easily influenced and manipulated via a non-black BIPOC woman.
What I observed last night causes me to ask the public at large...why is it that we ALLOW white men to flee accountability while [simultaneously] ACTING as if they are meek, easily manipulated man-children that need their hands held throughout life. you know, the very same colonizing bleach bandits that abducted, imported, and raped women of color for generations. The same flour felons that love to tell all women what they can and cannot do with their bodies and lives. The very same chalk children that placed themselves at the top of every hierarchy. Yet, society tells us that they are ignorant babes in need of our rescue each time they are caught [publicly] indulging in the nature passed through the ages from their ancestors.
All need to ask themselves this very question... "Why is this acceptable?" Once you have [truthfully] answered, follow-up with this one..."Why is it so easy to bypass the disrespect of black women?" What was your conclusion? Did the thought of "it's not that big of a deal" cross your mind? I guess it's only a big deal when the disrespect and the performative colonizer tears are directed towards you, huh?
