Illogical & Hypocrical GOP Solutions (School Shooting Edition)

      The party that works overtime attempting to convince the rest of us that they desire "small government" as they invoke government overreach, is at it again.  In lieu of the latest school shooting, the same, "don't teach my children anything", "they aren't your kids" crowd is calling for teachers to be armed.  Go ahead...take a moment, facepalm it up.  Don't worry, you are awake...this is still earth.  

    The same group of people that are afraid of Critical Race Theory (CRT), inclusive studies, trans children being protected, and teachers being paid properly are now wanting TEACHERS to come to school ARMED.  Before you jump onto this dumpster fire of an idea, consider the following:

• Who will be supplying the firearms? 
• Where will this new budget derive from, when basic supplies don't fit into current budgets for teachers?
• Who is going to verify the licenses, certifications, and permits for the teachers?
• How are the guns going to be stored while on campus that also affords them to be easily and readily accessible for teachers? 
• The US already has an issue with curious children harming or killing others in their homes with their parents' or guardians' weapons.
• What is the contingency plan should a teacher be murdered and their firearm is now left unattended and now an accessory for the murderer?
• Why would we want children desensitized to the dangers of weapons?
• Why would you want children so accustomed to weapons that they feel that they are no different than their toys?
• Just as with active shooter drills, this 'policy" would merely alert a potential school shooter to who to eliminate first and quickly.
• If armed officers have been unable to prevent school shootings, how will Mr. Willis in PE?

     ZERO logic has been placed into this new policy suggestion as a bill for gun reform was dismissed by the Grand Ole Party [per usual].  The hypocrisy of the "save the children" portion of the population is that they are willing to trade the lives of the country's future for speaking engagements from the National Rifle Association (NRA).  Before DNA testing can be completed on the 3rd and 4th-grade victims, Abbott, Trump, Cruz, and more have yet to decline to speak at an NRA conference in Texas...THIS WEEKEND.  

   

      One would think with such close ties to the NRA, families of their own, and a [recent] plea for babies to not be murdered, these individuals would be on the front line to implement the one measure that would halt mass killings.  Are they even considering it...NO.  In vitro embryos are a priority due to political gain and bootlicking for the NRA is a necessity for financial gain.  Living, breathing CHILDREN is a mere casualty of their political war against the "woke left."

      I suggest that their energy be matched.  Take the pictures of victims...blow them up and protest outside of gun shops and shows.  Take to the front of their respective offices and remind them with the same server as their anti-abortion cronies.  Ask them, "what would Jesus do" regarding the loss of innocent babies?  Match the vigor that they give in forcing the birth of the children that they so casually disregard for another term and another money transfer.
