Tone-Deaf Handmaids

Each time [in recent years] that white women feel as if they are under attack from the patriarchy, they invoke the novel 'The Handmaid's Tale."   They (for the most part) do this INSTEAD of listening to Black and Indigenous women who have LIVED the events depicted in the novel and [subsequent] tv series.  Said pale Patties tend to reference the diversity of cast within the series as justification for attempting to force [by guilt] non-white women into joining their plight.  This collection of cauliflower Cathies fails to note the fervently white-washed novel that STOLE from the medical HISTORY of Black and Indigenous women within the United States.

Collectively, we have tried to inform white women that the laws that they champion THEIR men to invoke will soon result in a disturbance in their own lives.  We have explained extensively that we have been traumatized, sterilized, revoked of our bodily autonomy, and disrespected by the males that raised them, were born of them as well as procreated with.  Yet, they stuck their heads in the sand while telling us that we were exaggerating or misreading the situation.

To that, I now ask...what exactly did we get wrong Karen? Now, it's an 'ALL WOMEN PROBLEM'....NOW, it's an 'IT WILL AFFECT YOU ALL THE MOST'.  Where was this energy when gynecology was being based upon the [forced] experimentation on Black women? When was it ALL of us when Indigenous women were being [forcibly] sterilized? Where were all the cosplaying Handmaid Tales rights warriors as Black women die at extreme numbers during pregnancy and childbirth?  We are you all and this urgency regarding BIPOC women not being taken seriously regarding their overall healthcare?

I can tell you.  You were too busy being comfortable being the default for protection while [simultaneously] cheerleading those with the intent of continuing our oppression.  You are quick to weaponize your tears against our men, our children and to simply get your way in public and private.  You are well aware of the [ultimate] power that you contain, yet you use it ONLY to protect your marginalize hunting, slur spewing familial ties, and to force yourself further into your entitlement.  Use that energy to save yourselves now.

Before anyone gets their [proverbial] 'panties in a bunch', I DO NOT want to hear about or from the '45%' that CHOSE not to vote for 45; yet still searching for a cookie.  Most of you are SILENT when it comes to YOUR counterparts and OUR trauma and life experiences.  You weaponize your (self-claimed) voting status as ANOTHER measure of trying to force melanated people to join and provide the labor for YOUR causes.

You will colonize artistry dedicated to Black women and work HARD to cosplay our essence, yet remain willingly tone-deaf to us as HUMANS.  You are AMAZING actresses as it applies to the plight of anyone that fails to be mayonated when you NEED results [for yourself] to be achieved.

All-in-all, your use of the handmaid's costume, and the repurposing of BLM chants and signs is utterly tone-deaf and seeping with disrespect.  Per YOU, we the BIPOC women of the US are lesser than and jealous, correct We cannot achieve anything without you...correct? Then riddle me this Becky with the straw hair.... why do you NEED all aspects of us in order to be successful?  If 'The Handmaid's Tale' is your blueprint...your fortune teller, if you will, why do you need us as you ignore the traumatized tones of our voices?  Do you think that maybe...just maybe...your comfort lies in being tone-deaf and a damsel in distress awaiting the country to come and rescue you?
