Dear White Women

 

Dear White Women, 

    Before you get all sunken into your "Karen place," keep in mind, "if it doesn't apply, let it fly."  🤷 Now that we have gotten this out of the way...STOP EXPECTING NON-BLACK WOMEN TO SAVE YOU.  Currently, all your pasty patty keyboard warriors are fervently DEMANDING the knowledge and labor of us for YOUR cause.  We have been fighting this fight AND warning you for GENERATIONS at this point.  We are EXHAUSTED and still fighting to keep ourselves, family, and friends ALIVE. 

 

     YOU dated and/or married men that only had their rights, bodily autonomy, and more in mind.  YOU were the ones excusing away sexism, misogyny, racism, homophobia, and more.  YOU kept claiming that "he's really a good person DEEP down" and that "it's just locker room talk." 🙄🙄. YOU stood by cheering on, raising, and protecting the ones that benefit the MOST from this debauchery that is a country.  NOW you are FINALLY waking up to the fact that your proximity to WHITE MEN offers you little to no protection.  

     It is FINALLY registering to you that you are still women and viewed as inferior pawns in the eyes of your hueless counterparts.  NOW, you are leaving said men and losing your collective minds because the issue at hand affects YOU PERSONALLY.  

❗❗❗❗❗❗THE CALL HAS BEEN COMING FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE❗❗❗❗❗❗

     Due to YOUR rights being infringed upon, you are now floundering about regressing to the tones and tactics of your ancestors...looking to Black, Brown & Indigenous Women of Color to [forcibly] volunteer labor.  Suddenly you are proclaiming that this is the time for unity and all hands are needed on deck.  But my dears, where was the unity when:

 Indigenous women and children began missing 
 Medical Apartheid was waged against Black women
 Asian women were being attacked & killed
 Muslim women were being dubbed terrorists and were having their hijabs snatched off their heads
 Black trans women were being murdered in cold blood
 Black women were fighting to wear our hair as it grows out of our heads and to remain employed
 Trans women were being evicted for being trans 
 Disabled women of color were fighting for the right to exist and survive comfortably
 Jim Crow (north & south)
 Black women were FORCED to work as domestics [for you]
 Indigenous children were stolen and massacred
 Immigrant women were being [unknowingly] sterilized and separated from their children at the southern border
 associate justices with sexual misconduct/harassment/assault backgrounds were sworn into SCOTUS

 

       Those are just a few of the instances in which you CHOSE to bury your head.  

     You deemed our protests, "uncomfortable" and "ghetto".  You viewed our movements as "divisive" and unnecessary.  Yet, in recent days you are shouting from your screens, "if you thought the last protest was bad, just wait."  Wait for what Beckiana? You to finish your protest cosplay attire while screaming to the world your plans to gentrify the work of melanated women? 

     I understand that you are mad and fearful regarding what is current and on the horizon for you.  But I need you to keep in mind that you fantasized (alongside your counterparts about returning to the "good ole days" forgetting that whitewashed time wasn't expressly free or overtly pleasant for you [either].  You are now on the verge of becoming human incubators that are solely controlled by white, heterosexual, cis-gendered, [faux] Protestant men.  

     

 

     We tried to warn you, but your desire to join the brotherhood deafened your ears to the sisterhood that you [now] seek.  We, the women of color within the United States, are NOT your shields, your protectors, or your property.  You chose to believe that all our troubles were so very far away.  You choose to close your eyes, hang on to his arm, and be led into a time machine.  Therefore, we choose to continue upon our path towards equity as you squander your time demanding to be saved.
