Tale as Old as Time: White Good, All Else Bad (No Matter What)
ONCE AGAIN, Brett Favre is back showing the country just how much of a heartless POS he is. Not familiar with his tainted history? Let us take a stroll down memory lane for a bit.
- 1996 - he received a temporary ban from drinking alcohol by the NFL after admitting his Vicodin addiction.
- 2010 - He was investigated for [allegedly] sending inappropriate pictures and messages to a "Game Day" (Jets) host in 2008. He was NOT determined guilty but was FINED $50,000 for failing to cooperate with the investigation.
- 2020 - The 3-tier Mississippi Welfare Fraud incidents.
The most recent events surrounding Favre are a trio of despicable behavior that is getting [virtual] radio-silence from the vast majority of the country. This man that is worth $100 million, he pursued defrauding the POOREST state within the US. He had a portion of $75 million allocated to Mississippi's TANF program for his own desires and causes that he deemed (more) worthy of the funds. Additionally, he collected 41.1 million for speaking engagements that (seemingly) never existed. Finally, Favre brokered $2 million being siphoned to a bio-tech startup.
Yet, there is no (overwhelming) outrage or outcry for him to be stripped of accolades and to have all of his sponsorships and more removed. Unlike Colin Kaepernick being demonized and losing his (then) livelihood for merely (peacefully) protesting AGAINST POLICE BRUTALITY. Micheal Vick is STILL demonized for dog fighting that took place at the hands of others on his property while he was away.
Brett isn't the ONLY white NFL player that a blind eye has been afforded. Big Ben has a past riddled with sexually harassing college-aged teens and young adult women. yet, no one continues to discuss that or proclaim that he is a second tier or that he should have never been allowed to continue his career.
Given that in 1933, Black people were BANNED from the NFL after 31 YEARS of (limited) integration. There are currently (potential) Black NFL coaches seeking litigation against the league due to discrimination. See a bit of a pattern here? Yea...the league that still utilizes [some] methods of the (slave) trade for their recruitment tactics still operates under the guise of white is right and all else is bad.
The remainder of the country (of course) follows suit because it is a tradition stemming from its inception. Pale Pauls are swarming to the "defense" of Favre, even when NOT fans of his former team, and justifying it by stating that, "Brett has been out of the league for a long time and he didn't complain about the country" (TikTok user: johnbaird2) and more.
WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!
They truly want to be entertained by our talents and hard work as we are charged with pretending NOT to see the CRIMES that they commit openly and heinously.
