If You Think Black People Are Silent, You're in an Anti-Black Echo Chamber
After Kanye West's latest rounds of antics, there are a number of non-Black people proclaiming that Black people are NOT calling him in. This is laughably FALSE. They aren't seeing the THOUSANDS of consequences being handed to him via the Black community because they have taken up residence in echo chambers void of melanin. Additionally, they aren't even looking to see if anyone from the community that West uses as needed has had anything to say. They have even IGNORED various news articles detailing the calling in of Ye by BLACK PEOPLE.
Yeezy deciding to go on a despicable anti-semitic rant on Twitter has caused people to (once again) FORGET THAT BLACK JEWISH PEOPLE EXIST. It is that demographic that has been extremely vocal about how egregious his rant was. They are by far the MOST qualified to call him in.
But, have you noticed that the same people claiming that we are silent after his [self-proclaimed] "death con3" move online didn't miss us calling him out for his White Lives Matter debacle. Isn't it humorous how selective attention is regarding the Black community? The narrative is that we simply allow our own to run amuck consistently. Interesting. We are NOT the community that HISTORICALLY declared that they "don't claim" someone when a member of their community displays problematic behavior. We are NOT the community that calls upon OTHER communities to check the disgraceful behavior of our own. We are NOT the community that acts AFRAID of our problematic branches.
White people tend to LOVE to wait until the holiday season (annually) to declare how they plan to or have confronted their problematic relatives. NOTE that this is their ANNUAL tradition. They will CONTINUE to break bread with people who REFUSE to change PROBLEMATIC BEHAVIOR. Yet, WE are the silent ones. We are deemed to be tone-deaf. They draw these conclusions because the ONLY time they step from their echo chambers is when they are searching for a pat on the back for their holiday gift to the BIPOC community of performative allyship. Even then, they tend to cry all over the internet when they are mocked for their feeble attempts to pretend to be "woke" and caring about anyone outside of their privileged scope.
