Kanye West: The (In)Convenient Black Man

Kanye West wears his blackness when convenient and profitable to him, and only then.  many believe that the passing of his mother caused him to derail...but did it really? He rides trends harder than Only Fans creators ride one another.  When Bush was NOT taking proper care of Black residents post-Katrina, West was on the front lines to criticize the treatment of "his people". Yet, when Trump came along and disrespected EVERY non-white resident of the land...he rode the money wave into the coontastic coalition.

As Kanye harassed his estranged wife (after spending YEARS promoting her as an earthbound angel) he was a downtrodden Black man being done wrong by an evil white family.  Yet, when it is time to increase sales during fashion week, he is no longer a depraved melanated man, and those working to ensure his (and his children's) equity are the devil.

To Kanye, oppression is a choice until he is reminded that it STILL has him in a chokehold.  His skin is no more than a component of his YZY line...for monetary gain when needed.  he has shown himself void of accountability and diligently working for a place at the Trump table.  He desires infamy as his form of immortality.

West has NOT changed, he is who he has ALWAYS been.  You simply whose to believe he was someone else.  The ONLY Black woman he has held any respect for was his mother.  Look at whom he has coveted romantically, publicly, and business-wise over the years.  He has been Ruckus, just simply with a better-produced soundtrack.

Seeing Yeezy and Candace Owens together at the opening of his fashion week presentation in "White Lives Matter" shirts was as shocking as a Trump rally.  It is expected.  They BOTH needed new press and he needed to do what he has become known for doing in recent years...offering a distraction for his Lord Donald.  This latest I am not oppressed, I am really not truly Black stunt via Ye is on par with his "presidential bid", "Black father-gate" and more.  Each time that Trump is taking heavy heat in the media, here comes the good ol house negro to tap dance for the entertaining distraction for Massa.

My only question is what price did Trump purchase him for?

There will come a day when Yeezy will no longer be able to grift at a level that keeps him at his desired comfort level and he will step back into (monetized)  the Black life.  When that day arrives, there will be a lemming parade following him off the cliff while proclaiming that the "old Kanye has returned".  The "old Kanye" has never left.  He just has more sides than Sybil due to his singular loyalty being making money from controversial grifting.

Accept that Kanye West is conveniently Black and about Blackness when he can monetize it AND increase his (perceived) power.  He is Trump in a different font.
