The Business of Anti-Racism

Certain social media platforms have afforded faux activists the ability to monetize their phantom movements.  People have gone from wanting to gain fame from [actual] talent, chasing infamy, and more to pretending to work for the equity of the BIPOC community for financial gain and popularity.

Before you chime in with your agreement...take a moment and cease with the list you are formulating in your head.  Truly think.  I am sure that there are a plethora of non-BIPOC individuals that you will proclaim are doing such.  You are NOT wrong.  There are a number of pale Patsys and Patricks that do just this...But, you are negating (or failing to notice) the members of the BIPOC community that do this as well.

Sadly, the history of melanated coontastic coalition members [also] sees us as nothing more than financial gain and a stepping stone to the fame that they crave greater than equity.  As long as their family is able to benefit from capitalism, the "greater good" is NOT their goal.  They will (ALL) gaslight you into believing that they do soooooooo very much regarding the fight for [adequate and proper] civil rights, but you see NOTHING beyond their monetized social media rantings.

How are you fighting the good fight for many people when you are in front of a ring light all day and night? When are you helping those in need when you are consistently crowdfunding for yourself and your family members?  How are you focused on any community, when every 15-20 minutes you are reminding us of your following count? When did the marginalization of people become the basis of your "get rich quick" business plan?

Most focus on those collecting profit by overtly denigrating their own.  We easily notice those that leapfrog tax brackets by way of the racism pole vault.  What is often overlooked and excused are the ones that pretend to fight for rights.  They remain just beneath the (proverbial) radar and amass a bounty of sycophants while becoming [increasingly] obvious with their actual goal.  You sit and watch them never turn their cameras off.  You watch them gain logos and backdrops.  You watch them fight over their reputations online.  You listen as they remind you how wondrous and necessary they are to your social media experience.  You buy it all.  You defend it (blindly).

You NEVER question what they are doing to benefit yourself and your brethren.  You won't dissect what has yet to add up.  yet you will deep dive into those that try to point out to you that you are being gifted while they rewind the clock from inside the club.

All because you think that the only ones being a blockade for progress are those that [openly] align with the wrong side of history.

The business of anti-racism has become the new dot com.  This is the new MLM.  This is the new rocket to success and financial independence.  Once you accept that, you can weed out those that are hindering the drive toward targets being removed from the backs of the BIPOC community.  It is time to look at your "faves online" and truly consider why you are such a fan.  Why are you so enamored with them.  Is it because they want better for us all or is it because you enjoy them calling out their "haters" and boasting to you about how amazing they are?
