True Crime & Black Trauma Erasure

      

With the release of the latest romanticized look into the cruelty that is Jeffrey Dahmer, the disregard for Black trauma has become [more] prevalent.  Anglo girls, gays, and they have (once again) proven that they will quicker fawn over the "conventional attractiveness" of a monster than acknowledge the damage incurred by their melanated counterparts.  

     Unlike when the [agreeably] attractive Charlize Theron portrayed Aileen Wuornos in the movie "Monster" (2003), her appearance was altered so that the message and severity of the crimes were NOT missed.  Wuornos was a "woman of the night" that proclaimed that she merely murdered the men that had violated her in the worst way.  Guess what...she wasn't sexualized or given  "forgiveness" due to her story being told.  

    Yet, oddly attractive, Evan Peters, is gaining a cult following for "making Dahmer a heartthrob". The Black and Brown, queer victims of the self-proclaimed calculated MONSTER are having their voices ERASED and replaced with a caravan of excuses and forgiveness.  Re-read that.

     Social media and real life are being flooded with misinformation as a measure of humanizing the inhumane.  The victims of a sadistic cannibal and their families are being blamed for their untimely and unnecessary demise!!!! False claims of survivors and victims' families becoming comfortable or wealthy off of the backs of the various depictions of Dahmer's tale are making their rounds about the atmosphere.  

     Let us have a moment of true clarity right now.  If the vast majority (or all) of his victims would have been WHITE or WOMEN or CHILDREN, there would NOT a such a fawning over a below mediocre aesthetic-ridden serial killer or any [problematic] actor resurrecting him on screen.    Even with the fandom of Ted Bundy, there is no erasure of the victims.

    Now, I am certain that there are some of you wondering why I am stating that Mr. Peters is problematic.  Oh, I do NOT know...maybe because he is anti-BLM and utilized tropes to describe protestors for EQUITY.  Yes, the man with the face of what goes bump in the night takes pleasure in PROTESTORS being treated as less than human while also perpetuating misinformation riddled with microaggressions.  

    The man with a face designed for American Horror is serving as a gateway to the macabre tradition of Anglo Animaniacs fantasizing about the extermination of whom they have NEVER deemed human.  It is through the lens of desire that they are infantilizing the heinous deeds of a man that admitted that he held NO remorse.  A man that chose his victims due to the FACT that he knew he could get away with MURDERING.  he took up roots where he did so that he could "fish from the fishbowl" with little (to no) fear of repercussion.  This is their hero.  This is their crush.  This is their "sexiest man of the moment". 

     Moreover, true crime [obsession] does nothing more than giving comfort to depraved thoughts while erasing Black trauma from the equation.
