When Will You (FINALLY) Read the Writings on the Wall?
All week long, I have sat back and watched cyberspace lose its (collective) minds regarding the (on par for the brand) monologue of Candace Owens. Her most recent claims are that she doesn't want to be a part of [Black culture] and wants to go back in time. Most are paused at her last quote...the reversal of time. To when? To when she was receiving death threats and ridiculed by the White community of her area (at the time)? Further back? Highly doubtful.
This is why when the "usual suspects" begin their roaming minstrel acts, I pity them more than anything. They are yearning for their (self-imposed) solitude to end via a rescue that will never manifest. They are no different (in theory) from the Blackface cosplayers of other races. They want to be Black without truly being Black. They want to have Black experience, support, and more without the targets, microaggressions, stigmas, etc.
They spray paint this sentiment over every wall that they pass, far too many simply refuse to read the text due to the font being unfamiliar. We KNOW that they walk willingly into what they perceive to be the realm of white acceptance merely to become captives of the "sunken place".
Envy, self-hate, and infantilized capitalism have them in such an identity dilemma that no flash can reverse the trappings of the teacup.
Moreover, allow them to advocate for their re-enslavement...it's their choice...remember. Let them vocalize not wanting proximity to our rich heritage and history. Allow them to continue to focus on the comfort of their (respective) Massas. Allow them to just "shut up and dribble" for a bag whose conversion value is less than the admission cost into the peanut gallery.
They have told us where they stand and we can clearly see where they want to stand. NOT ALL OF US are built for front-line work. NOT ALL OF US can survive without blood money. NOT ALL OF US will PUBLICLY be majestically melanated.
