White Women: A Life Void of Boundary Acceptance

     

     Recently, a #vanlife, #moderenhippie aesthetic-wearing white woman [Tess McEwen] decided to (gleefully) invade and disrespect the spiritual space of an Indigenous people of Mexico.  Her pride was more than evident as she explained the rules regarding the space and as she sprinkled in a racial trope right before doing the opposite of what was asked of her.

     The BIPOC community united and pointed out her disrespect and the consequences that were plausible due to her Columbusing.  Yet, just like with everything "white woman" she had supporters that excused her actions, vowed to repost her video should it be removed, and accepted her smirk-ridden fauxpology.  Once again, the default damsels reminded the rest of us that they are never alone in their despicable behavior.

     Speaking of NOT being alone... has anyone taken the time to determine who was with her during her ill-gotten visit to said sacred space? Did you NOT notice that someone was filming her as she explained the no-filming rule?  Someone took a picture of her as she was GRACIOUSLY allowed to participate in a SACRED PRACTICE.  Seem it is the cohort that has her leaving the heinous video up for added clout and monetization.  It is the faceless accomplice that was the driving force for the disingenuous, grinning fauxpology.  They are in her ear reminding her of their ancestral tradition...we do and take what we want.

     We know that white women are conditioned to ONLY respect the boundaries that are attached to their personal comfort and those that have been [silently] approved via their male counterparts.  Their lot in life is to oversee the ownership of the bodies, minds, labor, and cultures of all others.  it is far easier than to establish anything of substance themselves.  They package this as "for educational purposes in a non-traditional way" as well as "appreciation".  It is NEITHER.  It is their life hack into a personality trait.
