Look Around, the CRT Fight will Intensify

      With the amount of revisionism that is taking place right before our eyes right now...do you really think that those currently fighting against CRT being taught will cease? They will NOT.  They do NOT want what their ancestors, grandparents, and parents have (and still do in some cases).  Additionally, they will NOT want THEIR children, nieces, nephews, and (younger) cousins to know what they are currently doing.  Make no mistake, they are fervently aware of the fact that they stand on the WRONG side of history.  They teach their children that they are not and they want it to remain that way.

     Let me guess, you think that I am reaching right now, huh?

     Look around.  When you correct their tossing about of revisionist history and/or racial tropes, what is their (general) rebuttal? They quote MLK, they tell how they fought for Civil Rights in the 1960s, and they tell how their parents or ancestors were anti-racist. 😒 If ALL of these people were so engaged in the fight for equity, why haven't we had more progress? Yet, when the elders of these families die, there is a DARK fact that NONE of them speak of.  They work diligently to cover it up.  The surviving family members (often) find artifacts (including ledgers, chains, etc.) from the antebellum period.  There are often times when keepsakes from lynchings and old-time picnics are discovered.

     So tell me again who was fighting for what while hiding and preserving relics of racism?

     This is why it is IMPERATIVE that we (as a society and majority) STOP waiting for the racists amount us to STOP lying to one another.  We KNOW that is what they are doing.  We must simply move forward with pushing for the books generated via the daughters of the confederacy curricula from schools.  It is far PAST time for anti-racists to start running for school boards, etc.  It is time that we start bombarding meetings.  It is time that we turn the tables on the racists.  STOP letting them run wild determining how we and our legacies are taught in regard to the history of the land that was stolen and cultivated by stolen labor.
