What to Leave in 2022

As we sashay into 2023, it is BEYOND time to CEASE with the resolutions and simply begin to LEAVE things behind in the new year and take on what will bring us peace and happiness.

Let me start you off with the following:

  1. Leave behind TOXIC family members. - There is NO reason for you to FORCE yourself to be around people that consistently have shown you that they DO NOT LOVE you? FOCUS on those that show you that you MATTER to them every day of the year!!!! Embrace those you can call when you are NOT at your best and STOP breaking your neck to see people who avoid you because of birthdays and holidays...ijs.
  2. STOP making excuses for the problematic relatives/mates/friends in your life and LEAVE them.  These are people that (traditionally) do NOTHING for you BUT need and require EVERYTHING FROM YOU.
  3. BFFR and STOP blaming BLACK women for all of your woes and shortcomings.  We are NOT in a matriarchy...STOP sneaking one in while trying to garnish it with patriarchy.  😏💅
  4. TELL the TRUTH and STOP THINKING that you are covering your own "sins" by gossiping about others...YOU do NOT.  You simply have convinced yourself that the bone carrier doesn't carry your bones.  you have also convinced yourself that the "nosey Nancy" actually cares about you when all they do is deliver their [edited] version of your life to others.  KEEP IN MIND that they will sell a tale that they are your SAVIOR and NEVER come and save you.
  5. Beefing online.  Just STOP.  If someone is accusing you of a crime or committed a crime against you...WTF IS SOCIAL MEDIA DOING BEFORE YOU FILE A REPORT?!
  6. STOP faking trauma.  STOP condemning someone with no support system for coming to social media for encouragement to cosplay their trauma for donations.
  7. STOP PRETENDING TO OWN A BUSINESS WHILE BEGGING ONLINE FOR MONEY AND FOOD DELIVERIES.
  8. GO TO THERAPY.
Now that we have those basics out of the way.... let us talk about what to hold on to or gain in 2023:
  1. KEEP up your boundaries and self-care routines.
  2. Learn to tell FAMILY NO.  You are NOT obligated to them. They summoned YOU NOT the other way around.
  3. REALIZE that people will cosplay play you and hate you because they have NOTHING.  Let them buzz about your EPIC picnic.
  4. Be okay with NOT stalking people...you DO NOT like them...stop being concerned about them.
  5. TELL the TRUTH.  Lying for clout will get you exposed sooner or later and your lies will leave you void of the support system that would have been beneficial to you.
  6. It is OK to NOT live your life online.
  7. Religion is NOT a necessity.
  8. Black women are the ULTIMATE allies and NOT your enemies...unless you are PROBLEMATIC.
So after all of this..what are you ready and willing to leave in 2022 for the sake of your healing and happiness? Or are you the person that wants to proclaim faux resolutions that ants to still "fake it till they make it" which translates to "faking struggle escapism for someone to rescue you".
