Why Aren't We Demanding to be Protected & Served?

By now, many people are aware that the Supreme Court of the United States has determined that the police have NO obligation to protect or serve the public.  Why are we so "ok" with this? Why is there more outcry demanding that the bullies in blue are protected and respected over the general public? Why are we not collectively demanding for those that we FUND protect and serve us regardless of our "lot in life"? We watch and cackle as "Karens" demand service from teachers, retail workers, and the public at large as we allow ourselves to be mistreated by PUBLIC SERVANTS.😏

What brand of torture kink has consumed this country?

Defunding the police is a viable option... but let us NOT forget to enforce our service and protection needs during the process.  BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ parents should no longer be forced to teach their children how to interact with law enforcement in order to remain ALIVE.  No longer should marginalized people fear contacting (even for non-emergencies) districts for assistance.  Traffick stops, changing tires, sleeping at home, living in areas under gentrification, etc should NOT result in DEATH, DISMEMBERMENT, or DIMINISHED CAPACITY.

It is FINALLY time to disband the slave patrol and bring equity into this nation of division.

Let us take a moment to TRULY be honest regarding the men, women & non-binary individuals that encompass the districts from coast to coast.  These are people that are NOT disqualified from entrance into academies for being a part of White supremacist groups or displaying hatred towards marginalized residents.  Too many police districts are using the faces of the BIPOC people as VILLAINS during their training practices.  Non-white skin is viewed as a weapon and deadly force.  They utilize this as an excuse for TRAINED officers consistently fearing for their lives and taking the lives of BIPOC community members.

Ask yourself why so much of society want the general public to be calmer than those TRAINED to handle heightened scenarios.

Additionally, the call for cops to use DEESCALATION FIRST instead of trying to "John Wayne" most situations as a method of living out their murderous fantasies.  A (recent) example of this is the MURDER of Atatiana Jefferson by the (alleged*) hands of a former police officer who was tasked with a NON-EMERGENCY welfare check.  This man even joked, "I guess I shouldn't have come in today" after watching Ms. Jefferson take her last breath with MINIMAL effort in delivering aid.

We NEED to be seen as HUMAN and PROTECTED by those that we are tasked with supplying their income.

I will say this...what truly amazes me is the fact that the conservatives that loathe socialism and deem Social Security as an entitlement are not in favor of revamping the police department.  They are so concerned about spending and budgets and ensuring that TAX DOLLARS are NOT misused against the public...right? Or is their stance just more political bs? (Insert sarcastic snicker). 😏
