Just like the neighborhood or church gossip, the US enjoys sitting back and passing judgment on other nations until accountability comes knocking at the front door. This is what is occurring with far too many people within the nation at the moment due to the indictment and arraignment of
Donald J Trump. Pearls are being clutched due to the fact that he is a FORMER president. The current sentiment in his defense is that he should [essentially] be above the law due to his current campaign and PREVIOUS position. 😏 How quickly we have forgotten the pardon of Nixon and the indictment of his VP Agnew. 💅
Are we supposed to IGNORE the CURRENT corruption trial of the Israeli leader, Benjamin Netanyahu? SEVERAL leaders from around the globe have been ARRESTED, INDICTED, CONVICTED, and even JAILED. The adolescent nation that is the United States is ONCE AGAIN behind the curve. Due to our history of giving a (metaphorical) slap on the wrist to high-ranking politicians (even presidents) regarding their crimes, we have arrived at a historic moment... a former POTUS transitioning into a pompous CRIMINAL defendant.
When the top-ranking politicians of the Confederacy were NOT properly prosecuted for TREASON, this snowball effect gained fervor. Before your brain goes to Nixon as the next example of allowing a POTUS to avoid prosecution for crimes...PAUSE. Are you NOT familiar with the man at the center of the Teapot Dome scandal? The scandal involved bribery from 1921 - 1923. Who am I referring to? That would be Warren G. Harding. Just as with Trump, OTHERS went to PRISON regarding the scandal, Harding was saved by his death and political position. 😏

Nixon, he received a pardon and
Agnew's legal team came to an agreement that included a plea to a SINGLE count and a resignation. Yay USA! 😏 Way to pave the way for a narcissistic idiot to use the Oval Office as their most prolific grift and as a method of intimidation. Way to go!!!!!!
What happened to the "lock her up" chants and the calls for Hunter Biden to be jailed?
During the 2016 campaign cycle, the narrative was that
Clinton was a criminal and should NOT hold office due to that. Yet NOW,
Trump's arrangement is being touted (by his voter base) as a "slam dunk" for him winning the GOP nomination. 😏 Although MOST of the people that have [previously] surrounded him have been indicted and/or convicted of many of the crimes that he NOW faces accountability for... this is a political witchhunt? His having his former "fixer" convicted on FEDERAL crimes while president for the SAME payoffs included in his own indictment wasn't the weaponization of the judicial system?
I need the "snowflakes" of the United States to FINALLY realize that NO ONE is ABOVE the LAW.
Time to take the advice you give every time a melanated person is unjustly accosted (or worse) and you ask what happened before the video began to roll... FINALLY, be honest about all that occurred before this indictment.
