If Racism Doesn't Exist, Why Are You So Quick to Excuse It?

      On a daily basis, non-white people, are swiftly and repetitively told that racism no longer exists.  None of us recall its funeral or repass...but mkay.  No sooner than we are told this, another instance of racism becomes blatantly evident and a barrage of excuses becomes the soundtrack.  

     Isn't it interesting how something that does NOT exist is so fervently PROTECTED?

     Most recently FIVE members of a family were MURDERED and racists have taken to the internet to excuse the traumatic event. How? By proclaiming the victims to be illegal immigrants.  As if the US isn't a country riddled with immigrants.  😏 Upholders of the tenets of white supremacy have never been sensitized to the trauma of those that do not mimic their reflections so they are able to justify our delivery unto our ancestors with ease and minus discretion.  

     Keep in mind that these are the same people that (traditionally) vote AGAINST their best interest just to ensure that no one non-white will benefit. 😏

     There are individuals trying to gaslight Black people into forgiving Carilyn Bryant Donham simply because the villain died.  Some are even going so far as to FABRICATE "evidence" of her innocence and the guilt of her VICTIM. 😖 Hey supremacists.... if there is no racism...what are you working overtime to try to convince us that there was none involved in a CHILD'S MURDER?! 💅 You cheer as Nazis are carted into court in order to be held accountable for their heinousness...YET, you want the marginalized of the US to "get over" what CONTINUES to occur by the hour.  

     Why do you think they are fighting so hard to whitewash current history before our eyes while [simultaneously] banning ACTUAL history so vigorously?

     If you can prevent people from knowing the US tradition of hate, savagery, and disparity... you can prevent people from realizing that what they are enduring is historic, systemic RACISM.  Think of each time that a melanated person is hunted down; you are bombarded with requests to prove what provoked the murder fantasy-riddled bigot.  Children are taught to ignore educational imbalance due to the success of a few.  Adults are force-fed "pull yourself up by the bootstraps" as if that is the ultimate fix-all for HUNDREDS of years of OPPRESSION.  We are given a phrase created in jest due to it being an impossibility as a blueprint for overcoming adversity targeted at us.  😏

     Moreover, if your precious racism has gone on to new pastures...why is it the hill of excuses so many are willing to die on?
