Stop Splitting Votes to Quench Ego

      By now, we have been made aware of the fact that Cornell West has tossed his hat into the clown car that is the 2024 Presidential race. 😏 Yet again, we have a candidate with NO platform, no solutions that is pandering to the Black community by pledging change and justice.  A senate seat would have been a better option...but he knew that.  With the current state of the candidacy pool, we will be hand-delivered a gift-wrapped dictator chief...DeSantis.  

     Have you forgotten the molded gift that was the Trump presidency?

     Third-party candidates combined with staunch "protest voters" caused us to be tossed into the hellscape of grifter's paradise within the Oval Office.  West knows that he will deplete the possibility of a Biden election and award the GOP the finishing touch to their power-driven wet dream.  If the goal is truly to invoke change, why was the plan not to run for Congress? Why not wait until a less hefty presidential race? 

The presidential pool is full of feces layered with gasoline and set ablaze.  Why add a grenade to it as marginalized communities are (back to) being hunted daily.

     DeSantis dreams of being the second coming of Hitler. Trump is twice impeached, twice indicted (as of 6/15/2023), liable for defamation, and more grifter.  Tim Scott is a walking minstrel show who admits that he failed CIVICS.  Mike Pence is a self-restrained gay man that is under the thumb of his wife and his tyrannical religious views.  Marianne WIlliamson is a boss that nightmares are made of as well as a self-help guru that believes conspiracy over fact. Then there is screw the people, flip flop, and sell your soul Chris Christie.  Moving on to Doug Burgum who is taking a page out of the book of white musicians and painting himself as a small-town boy that just wants the best...he was an angel investor and businessman before becoming North Dakota's governor.  😏 Miami's mayor Suarez is a cable tv darling and tech bro politician that has people confused as to why he is in the race.  Robert F. Kennedy has an anti-vaxxer mentality and a famous political name...nothing more to offer.  Nikki Haley is still waiting to pass well enough to be picked by her most racist fellow Republicans to sit at the proverbial table.  Vivek Ramaswamy is praying that promising to pardon Trump will land him into the highest office in the land... that's it...he campaigns as if this is a middle school election.  

Are you aware that there are THREE more members of the GOP that are running?

     Asa Hutchinson, Larry Elder (his presence gives a side eye to Scott's platform of 'I am a conservative Black man, vote me into office'), and Corey Stapleton.  Looking with a critical eye at the tip-toeing that DeSantis is doing in regard to Trump, one may wonder if he is in the race merely to become the VP on 45's ticket.  Ron may not pay attention to polls but he does pay attention to popularity and that his last election REQUIRED a level of assistance from the tangerine tyrant.  Also, running on the Trump ticket is a great way for Ron to become POTUS, due to the hot indictment summer [virtually] guaranteeing prison time and immediate impeachment and removal for ol Donnie Boy.  

With all of that being said, why would Mr. West decide to run NOW and split the vote? Also, why is it always a 'West' splitting votes favoring a Trump victory? 😏

     This campaign cycle is presenting itself more like a DEI SNL skit as opposed to a race toward undertaking an enormous amount of responsibility.  We have a cornucopia of talking points, soundbites, and photo opts and a bare-bones sampling of platforms.  Fighting words that are never defined before hurled about is NOT a platform.  Working to force tyrannical pseudo-Christian beliefs onto people is NOT a platform.  Non-specific promises are NOT a platform.  Unfortunately, too many voters are choosing their "best" candidate off of scare tactics and name recognition.  But the US is the greatest in all things, right? Evidently NOT in critical thinking or individual thought.
