The Internet Bubble

      There was a lengthy period of history where all we had to rely on was what elders told us about others.  Critical thinking was rarely encouraged, hence our blind beliefs while [rarely] leaving our little slice of the globe.  From there we evolved into having information brought to us through media, international outlets, books, and more.  Although helpful, they contained their own levels of bias, framing, and intended audiences.  

Then there was the birth of the word wide web.  A place where we could communicate directly with one another in real-time.

     Yet problematic ideologies continue to exist.  Bigotry and hate continue to be the most gifted inheritances known to mankind.  People CHOOSE to bypass accounts that chronicle what life is like living within the confines of societal degradation and/or systems of oppression.  They will scour the internet until they find pseudo-communities perpetuating the lies that the normative is under attack.  A moment of conjoined hate and rage is worth a lifetime of suppressing their personal truth and living equitably.

Moreover, they CHOOSE to find companionship for their misery instead of achieving communal contentment.

     How exhausting must it be to live in fear that is self-created? How loathsome must it be to spend hours searching out what is claimed to be against you...just to harass those existing in said space.  To want a global [virtual] gathering place to center around them and the beliefs they have been indoctrinated into thinking are their own must be a career that is beyond taxing.  😏 The effort is put forth due to the generations that were comfortable in the bubbles they created to contain themselves and their legacies.  

Therefore their echo chambers must extend to the keeper of diversity (in real-time) so that their hold on the superiority myth keeps their privilege intact.  

   Education melded with interpersonal interaction brings enlightenment and evolution that threatens the meritocracy that brings far too many of them "success".  Although they are beaming with pride as rights are being rolled back...they have yet to reflect on the fact that their excuses and basis for their lies are also being stripped.  No more Affirmative Action... you now must admit that lil Judy and Alex are barely basic and simply do NOT qualify.  They weren't bypassed because of a Black person.  Roe v Wade tossed aside... now you must confront the reality of your clergy family members consistently impregnating the city.  SCOTUS determined that you can deny service to the LGBTQIA+ community... you must reap the consequences of knowing intersectionality nor economics as your doors close.  

The bubble only protects you from the ability to achieve growth.  Not the trickle-down effects of your outdated, bigoted thoughts, rhetoric, and/or actions.

     Even with a wealth of knowledge at your fingertips...you are DECIDING to forget that you are upping the scale from merely cementing over public pools, to you taking yourself back to a time when survival required barbituates, financial abuse, and forced marriage.  Are you ready to HAVE to take your daughters back in and provide for them for life and live with social shaming due to her being labeled a thrown-away spinster once your neighbor's son has decided she has aged out of being his wife? Are you prepared to relinquish your kinks, lap dances, and erotic subscriptions when they are deemed unconstitutional by the stolen SCOTUS? Let me guess...you think that I am reaching? A case was just "won" due to a lie born from a hypothetical and the thieves of the court believe in preserving their tyrannical Christian beliefs over all else.  

Rolling back the hands of time will NOT bring you the FANTASY of Ward and June Cleaver, Ozzie, and Harriet, etc.  It brings the REALITY of courthouse step beatings, overt racism, public torment of the LGBTQIA+, and more.

     "Traditional families" often consisted of fathers that loathed their wives and were emotionally distant from their offspring.  Mothers that spent more time in competition with other women than actually parenting their "mini-mes".  A time when seatbelts were not considered and drinking and driving was as common as fueling up and grabbing coffee.  Creating and sustaining your internet bubble of ignorant, hateful faux bliss will not garner a force field from the consequences of your fear of [actual] community and (collective) growth.  Screaming that the US is the best country ever, will NOT make it so as you either fight for or stand by rewinding the nation back to the outer pits of hades.
