Yet AGAIN, Black people were placed in the duality of high alert and mourning due to a PREVENTABLE hunting of our community. With this heinous attack came various commentaries regarding mental health crisis, teenage angst, the provisioning of the ideologies held within the area (where
the MURDERER resided), and faux desire to (common sense) gun reform. 😏 Overwhelming sympathy will be gifted to the family and friends of the white supremacist and
excuses will blanket his memory as a vilified community is once again left to revamp its survival manual.
Imagine journeying through the birth canal to be stamped with a blaring target for merely existing.
Those sharing space amongst us will continue to grapple to cosplay the oppression forced upon our being. Increased will be the "hot takes" regarding classism and division being the spawn of the vocalization of generational trauma increased by the actions of modern slave catchers foaming to trophy our bodies. Daily, we are force-fed the fallacy that racism has been eradicated within the nation that self-proclaims itself as the greatest. Right after the fairytale of fools is spewed in place of a proper bedtime story, the Black community becomes inundated with debilitating, vicious, earmarked rhetoric reminding us that it is a goal to eradicate us.
As we are disrespected, degraded, and hunted we are required to withstand a barrage of "context inquiries" and excuses/feeble justifications for our untimely ascension to our ancestors.
Even a subset of those that denote themselves as being our allies, find themselves immersed in the quicksand of
excusing the life-ending variant of racism that is honed onto our presence. One must look deep into oneself as to why it is so easy and expeditious for the relieving of the severity of racism. 💅 It is GENERATIONS past due for the US to ADDRESS its
engrained racism and its militant protection of it. It is beyond the time to CEASE proclaiming that discussing racism is divisive. When will it become ILLEGAL to decorate the atmosphere with swastikas and Confederate flags? When will history be taught completely and no longer in a manner geared towards controlling the Black Populus?
When will the US become UNITED and the [actual] land of the FREE?
