Your GOAT is nothing more than [a] Participation Patty

     

     Let us begin with the fun FACT that the LAST time that the WOMEN'S USA Basketball team LOST in the Olympics was 1992.  With that out of the way...what makes you think that the sport NEEDS your underqualified [faux] "it girl"? You recognize that she is UNDERQUALIFIED for the hype being afforded her within the WNBA.  This is evidenced by the cries for rule changes, scheduling change requests, and the assertion that she is a mere porcelain doll that can [barely] sustain a wind of [semi] vigor. 

     The willful bypassing of how and why people EARN placement onto Olympic rosters shows that you simply want a(nother) "Great White Hope".  ( Do take the time to note what happened to the career of Mr Jack Johnson after he was used as a pawn of racism).  Your desire for the (societal) default damsel in distress to be the face of this (pseudo) patriarchal country shows that you aren't as steeped in the delusion that the US is the BEST country out there.  Do you want to argue that an UNDERQUALIFIED ROOKIE who has NO championships under their belt would be good for MARKETING in regards to the OLYMPICS?! When has the GLOBAL phenomenon NEEDED a singular person to be its "face".  Additionally, do you NOT know of the HISTORIC women's team that led to the WNBA creation?! Do you?

     Your desire to proclaim mediocrity as superior because you can EASILY see your non-athletic self in Ms. Clark has caused you to overshadow the greatness that mirrors your complexion that already dominates the sport.  You have placed an impossible task before her path simply because you did NOT like an unapologetically BLACK woman taking center stage due to MERIT and TALENT.  

     You have elevated her to GOAT status without her even attempting to earn it.  Did you think that would be a motivator? It will (more than likely) be the opposite.  You are [already] collectively making excuses for her not matching the strides of other [notable] rookies.  Why would she actually improve?  It has worked wonders for her to simply claim that she was moving towards improvement for you to force yourself to see what has and never will manifest.  You have shown her that her "participation Patty" status is enough to be showered with awards and accolades.....you've created another mid-madam with a Megatron ego.  I hope you are braced for her [inevitable] spiral in your direction.
