Black Women do NOT Have Superpowers
This current election cycle coupled with the misogynoir spawning from [a subset of] the pro-Palestine movement... it is vehemently clear that your disdain for Black women (specifically) stemmed from the illogical belief that we have superpowers. It is an interestingly frustrating phenomenon. The mixture of [consistently] telling us that we are the underruns of society while simultaneously expecting us to control/fix the country that loathes us. We are not the ones in which this nation was colonized to benefit. we are NOT the subset of women who work to destroy the road toward equity. Yet we are repeatedly EXPECTED to remedy all that ails this insufferable, adolescent country although our [present-day] scope affords us no [true] ability to do so.
In just the past few months people have waged war on Black women due to a change in POTUS candidates and disappointment within the movement regarding Palestine. Far too many within the subset decided that their best course of action was to BLAME a genocide that has been DECADES in the making on Black women. Someway...somehow...we were supposed to be able to force Israel and its allies to cease being maniacal. Compoundly, instead of LOGIC chasing down the craniums of the subset, they doubled down and decided to weaponize the targeting of the black community as a measure of gaslighting. Remember, many of these people [when convenient for them] will try to argue away said lived experience. 😏Fast forward to VP Harris becoming the Democratic POTUS candidate... cue the cavalcade of misinformation (and disinformation) regarding the duties/scope of the vice presidency and that of presidential candidates. All of a sudden....for the FIRST TIME IN HISTORY...the V-POTUS can:
- have an administration
- write and sign executive orders
- legislate and maintain the southern border
- give unlimited funds re: disaster relief
- create and instate laws for a SPECIFIC demographic/community
- have control over foreign leaders
- control pricing within every industry
