Camp Taz

            For most of my existence on this floating space rock, I have been bombarded with people telling me about their proximity to a WWII vet .  They would beam with pride as they embellished their family member's triumphant victory over the worst of society.  This wasin combination of thousands contending that if they would have been alive [or of age] at the time that Nazi roamed the earth [uniformally] that they would've hid people and fought the good fight.  They indeed would not have.  They are participating in the behavior and ideologies that they maintained, that they were better than.        No longer can one PRETEND that they are/were unaware that people making their family's military service or activism their personality traits was nothing more than a smokescreen.  If one can count the "good people" in their family...a good family, they have not.  Additionally, the works of others cannot p...

           Far too often, recently, people are proclaiming that there is nothing to do about current events.  People who previously claimed to be "the daughters of the witches that they didn't burn" and shouted about a second civil war.  These are people who are PROUD, card-carrying members of legacy organizations.  These are people who reenact wars and fight diligently to have gun collections.        YET, they are now hopeless and without options regarding their survival and ability to flourish. 😏      Make it make sense, please.  What happened to "America: The land of the free and home of the brave"? Where did the bravery go? Aren't you the same collection of humans that are consistently talking about what you would've done at different snapshots of history? Aren't you the same people who wanted to reconstruct the underground railroad when Roe v. Wade was overturned?        W...

           You aren’t truly concerned about Kamala Harris.  You are questioning where she is because you have a longing for mammy.  You truly believed that no matter how many times you avoided doing the hard work, a “sturdy” Black woman would always come along and make it better for you.  You were certain that you would be able to [continue] to “arm chair quarterback” yourself out of the tyranny of the Trump administration.       Surprise, surprise….adulthood has come knocking and the door must be answered.      You must reconcile with yourself that you have been [fervently] indoctrinated into the belief that Black  women exist only to be in servitude to you.  Credit-less servitude.  You have been made to believe that everything will work out due to the [imminent] arrival of your fairy god-mammy.        Fight the urge to argue and let the words sink past the surface.   ...
